Biography

Mr. Straetmans is active in insurance defense litigation, commercial litigation and in the defense of employee benefit plans and third-party administrators in benefit actions regulated by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"). He also acts as general counsel for several small companies.

Mr. Straetmans has appeared on behalf of clients on numerous occasions in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan as well as in the Michigan courts. He has also represented clients in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
