Biography
Scott D. Relf concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate commercial transactions, corporate finance, international law, U.S. and Canadian immigration, information technology and general business law. Specifically, Mr. Relf serves the needs of cross-border clients facing legal issues and challenges that arise in either the U.S. or Canada. Mr. Relf possesses a unique legal background, which includes both U.S. and Canadian legal licensing and training. As well, Mr. Relf has obtained a MBA majoring in corporate finance and strategic planning, along with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Economics. Mr. Relf has authored articles on various subjects, including international franchising, options and strategies for investment in Canada, immigration options for investors, criminal corporate liability, and border security and immigration issues for individuals with criminal backgrounds.
Mr. Relf is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar, and the New York State Bar. Mr. Relf has also obtained specialized training and representative licensing in securities regulation in both the U.S. and Canada. In addition, Mr. Relf has served with JCI at the local Board level as Business Development Director, Treasurer, and Secretary. Mr. Relf also possess a varied technical background, including small business software application and development.
