Biography
Mr. Herrinton, became a Certified Public Accountant in 1968 and was admitted to practice before the State Bar of Michigan in 1969. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
Mr. Herrinton is a member of the firm's Business Practice Group and the Estate Planning Group. He acts as a counselor to business owners and their organizations including succession planning. He has represented clients in many merger and acquisition transactions and continues to represent the sellers of many of those entities. His practice includes tax compliance work for high net worth individuals and their businesses.
Mr. Herrinton's professional involvements include membership in the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is an Adjunct Professor at Walsh College teaching in the Master of Science in Tax program and a former Assistant Professor of Law at the Detroit College of Law.
Mr. Herrinton holds an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, a peer review rating of the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards. He was named a Top Lawyer in Metro Detroit by dbusiness.
